It was her first time. For me it was possibly my twentieth viewing. After seeing it in the theater when the film first came out in 1998, I've shown it in various Intro to Philosophy classes, and I also watched it on my own a number of times.
After seeing it in the theater when the film first came out in 1998, I've shown it in various Intro to Philosophy classes, and I also watched it on my own a number of times. Each viewing, I enjoyed again its semi-noir, moody, dimlit setting, its decent and entertaining play with some philosophical concepts (or perhaps, rather, tropes), and its reliably good (though not outstanding) acting. A man wakes up without his memories, but possessing two advantages his fellow humans do not.
