The hosts, Casey Newton, a veteran tech journalist who runs the newsletter Platformer, and Kevin Roose, the Times' tech columnist, are often criticized for their, let's say, bullish coverage of AI, and the plan was to do a segment where they addressed some of their critics' concerns. I've reached out to Kevin and Casey before, and encouraged them to host more voices critical of AI—as you'll hear in the snippet, Kevin joked that he'd only do it if I let him give me a cattle brand that read FEEL THE AGI.
