The Idealist and the Dogmatist

People forget that I am in love with a man named Johann Gottlieb Fichte. When I read Kant, it's like reading Newton: a really smart guy conveying important truths that I wouldn't have been able to figure out by myself. But when I read Fichte, it's like I'm reading my own thoughts.

But when I read Fichte, it's like I'm reading my own thoughts. This man is my soulmate, and I will die alone because I will never find a woman who can compare to him. So, Kant wrote the Critique, which changed everything.

So, Kant wrote the Critique, which changed everything. For anyone not familiar, Kant's goal in the Critique was to give a solid foundation for what he took to be necessary truths about reality (such as that every event has a cause).
